Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd's journey in combat sports started at the age of 14. After a kickboxing training session, wrestling BJJ and BJJ, she began her professional debut with Jaimee Nievera at WCFC when she was just 18. Ladd had an amazing 3 fight winning streak at Ultimate Reno Combat. In all three, she finished her opponent in the very first round. In WCFC, Ladd defeated Leslie Rodriguez with a unanimous decision. Aspen first defeated Silvia Babyghian, before heading to take on Maddy Simmons at WCFC 9 and fought Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia gave Aspen the win in a single-handed manner and was able to outclass her, tarnishing Ladd's professional career. Ladd took her bout in a fight with Roma Pawelek to improve to an 8-1 mark. Aspen began her professional career in 2015. She joined Invicta FC and made her debut. Invicta Fc 11, she defeated Ana Carolina Vidal and won the fight in one round with a TKO. Invicta 16 saw her go up to Bantamweight after winning the fight against Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen used superior wrestling to defeat McGill in the third round via TKO. Aspen was then up against Jessica Hoy (138.1lb at Invicta FC) in an "catchweight"(138.1lb), because Ladd was unable to put on the weight. Aspen, however, beat Hoy with a TKO. Invicta FC, 21 was her last promotion fight. Invicta FC 21, Eubanks won by unanimous vote. Aspen Ladd debuted in the UFC at UFC Fight Night 118, with a bout against Lina Langsberg. She outclassed Lina by pound-for-pound, and took the TKO round at the end of the 2nd. In her second fight, she defeated Tonya Evinger more convincingly. Ladd beat Evinger with a punch during the first round and was awarded the Bonus Performance of the Night. Invicta FC's Sijara Ebanks was her opponent in an rematch of UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. This was her first big fight. Ladd took home an unanimous decision in an intense back and forth battle between the two fighters, was awarded her Fight of the Night bonuses. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie defeated Ladd within just 16 seconds, ending her win streak. Then she bounced back and defeated Yana Kunitskaya during the third round in UFC in ESPN 7. She faced Norma Dumont as a substitute in her last fight with the UFC at UFC Fight Night 195. She was defeated by a unanimous decision.
